Kumar Centre for Stroke Rehabilitation and research is the only hospital in India dedicated for the Rehabilitation of Stroke patients. The hospital is planned and built for the handicapped.

All the four floors are accessible to wheel chair by ramp and bed lift. 15 patients can be admitted in separate rooms. Rooms are well ventilated, walls are fitted with hand rails. Toilets are made to make a hemiplegic independent.

Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy for Stroke Rehabilitation

Hyperbaric Oxygen therapy (HBOT) is gaining importance after the publication of several articles with evidence in increased brain activity by SPECT imaging along with motor and cognitive improvements. The effects were evident even in chronic victims up to many years after Stroke.

Computer Aided Hand Function Unit

A new hi tech hand function unit is now established in this hospital with imported game unit having special software that will assess the patient ability and change parameters so that even very weak patient can play games.
